Sales Manager - Manufacturing
Overview:
Our client, headquartered in the Fraser Valley, is an established manufacturer, design and fabricator of light metal , wood, plastic and glass products. For over 25 years they have been delivering creative manufactured solutions to diverse industries North American wide. Some of their clients are in retail, hospitality, residential and commercial structure industries.
Responsibilities:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled Sales Manager with experience in manufacturing. Reporting to the President and the board you will have total responsibility and authority for the sales division including decision for hiring, firing and training the existing direct sales team. The authority to establish and develop new distribution channels throughout North America. To work and collaborate with a highly trained manufacturing team to meet the volume and profit objectives of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Five to Ten years of successful management of an outside business to business sales team; achieved through sound training methods;

  • Successful sales ability in a manufacturing environment, demonstrated through overachieving on established budgets;

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate at a senior level;

  • University or College degree

  • Completion of current sales and/or management programs

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, plan and strategize to expand customer base

  • Responsible for all sales activities of sales team

  • Develop relationships with key accounts

  • Create and maintain relationships with distribution base

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies including website

  • Select and oversee trade show participation

  • Establish and supervise activities of sales co-ordinator

  • Occasional travel in Canada and USA

This position will appeal to the sales executive who has strong leadership abilities looking to implement and manage all facets of a sales division; improve and grow the marketing efforts in a progressive manufacturing facility.
