Our client
is a world leading developer and producer of inks, pigments
and colour technology to such industries as: packaging,
publication, coatings, plastics and cosmetics. As part of
their succession planning, we are seeking a successful major
account representative to join the British Columbia team. |
|
|
You will
be responsible for managing, expanding and servicing their
designated customer base, along with developing new business
opportunities that will maximize the company’s position by
improving revenues and margins. This will be achieved by:
-
Selling to corporations with multiple buying influences,
including top level executive decision makers.

Acting in a role as a consultative representative to the
customer.
-
Optimizing company’s position by aligning himself/herself
with the customer’s key decision makers.
-
Developing account plan strategies and identify key buying
factors, stakeholders/gatekeepers and decision maker’s value
propositions and plans to capture the value created.
-
Working with and leading, local and international in-house
technical and service teams, to proactively respond to
customers needs.
-
Gathering and verifying information about the customer’s
basic market strategy, Competition and vendor expectations.
-
Managing competition, recognizing strengths/weaknesses in
order to maintain existing customer base while capturing new
business.

Negotiating and managing relationships while servicing the
customers’ needs and coordinating with in-house personnel to
achieve the desired results.

Meeting or exceeding budgeted targets by generating new
business opportunities and building sales, profits and margins
from existing account base.

Assisting in introduction and trial of new products.
Qualifications/Requirements
-
Minimum 7-9 years of consistent and successful
business-to-business sales experience, to multiple decision
makers.

Demonstrated ability and experience in finding new business.

Current Sales training.

Technical ability
-
Excellent communications skills
-
Demonstrated ability to influence buying decisions of
customer.

Computer Skills – including Word, Excel, and Outlook
-
Flexible individual that is driven to meet performance
objectives/goals in a changing marketplace.

Ability to work well with all internal resources.
-
University degree or recognized and relevant diploma,
required.
Territory: British Columbia – Primarily Greater Vancouver Area
Excellent salary, commissions on current and new business,
company car and full benefits.
